Part Time Tellers – Hesperia and Montague Branches

TELLER RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Records and processes transactions with accuracy and speed. Verifies cash drawer, maintains and safeguards own cash balances within security guidelines. Provides a variety of customer service functions, such as processing savings, checking accounts and loan transactions; opening new accounts, etc. Answers phones and responds to customer questions, takes messages. Possesses the ability to cash checks or process withdrawals within authority limits, and to ensure that the customer has the right to the funds. Performs related clerical tasks in an accurate and timely manner. Rotates among lobby teller windows, drive-up, and ATM duties. Complies with government regulations and BSA. Assists with any other duties as directed or required by Supervisor. Working Days and Hours will vary from week to week. Regular and on time attendance is required. Excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain positive relationships with others. Ability to perform under pressure, and adapt to changing and possibly stressful environment. Ability to identify, assist with and resolve routine problems that are within a teller’s knowledge. Experience with calculator and computer keyboarding is essential. General math skills are required. High School diploma or equivalent required.

 

Full Time Teller/Customer Service Representative – Montague Branch

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES : Records and processes transactions with accuracy and speed. Verifies cash drawer, maintains and safeguards own cash balances within security guidelines. Provides a variety of customer service functions, such as processing savings, checking accounts and loan transactions; opening new accounts, etc. Answers phones and responds to customer questions, takes messages. Possesses the ability to cash checks or process withdrawals within authority limits, and to ensure that the customer has the right to the funds. Performs related clerical tasks in an accurate and timely manner. Rotates among lobby teller windows, drive-up, and ATM duties. Complies with government regulations and BSA. Assists with any other duties as directed or required by Supervisor. Opens new accounts, explains options, gathers needed information from the customer, prepares all paperwork and assists the customer in the signing of documents necessary to process new accounts. Actively cross sells the bank’s services in a professional manner. Prepares forms and documents for services such as telephone transfers, direct deposit, wire transfer, collections, ATM and credit cards.   Answers questions and solves problems for customers and bank staff concerning all services provided by the bank by listening to problems, collecting data, securing answers and reporting results to the inquiring party. Performs related duties as assigned.

 

Commercial Lender – Muskegon Area

The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for soliciting, negotiating, underwriting and coordinating the closing of commercial real estate, commercial lines of credit, commercial equipment, SBA, and other business loans in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures; manages and maintains an existing and/or assigned loan portfolio; develops business checking and deposit relationships with customers; and promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referrals for new services. The position of Commercial Loan Officer assists in attaining established Bank, region and branch goals through active participation in sales management and officer call programs. The Commercial loan officer will work primarily in Muskegon County splitting time as needed between the Muskegon County Offices of Shelby State Bank.
