The Whitehall Branch opened as the first branch of Shelby State Bank on July 5, 1981. The original building structure was moved and is now the law office for Bob Eklund. In 1989, the current office was built and the Deposit Operations department was relocated from Shelby to the lower level of the new building. Gales Agency was also added in the east wing of the new building.
In 2009, the Bank developed the acreage that it owns next to the Branch into commercial lots that are now available for sale.
